What IELTS score do you need for Wrexham University?

The English page accepts India Standard XII at 70% "For Postgraduate entry only", valid for 10 years, while Wrexham's India page lists Standard XII English at 70% without that limit, but requires a SELT from Punjab and Haryana applicants and from anyone applying for business courses. WAEC (C6 for 6.0, C5 for 6.5) and NECO (C6) are valid for 10 years. The Pakistan page gives no school-English route.

Course pages may be stricter: the International Business and Data Analytics Management MSc says international students need a UKVI approved Secure English Language Test.

Wrexham's how to apply page says that once you meet your offer conditions its Immigration Compliance team arranges a compliance interview, and a CAS is issued only if the interview is successful "and the course fees have been paid". Its international fees page lists 2026/27 fees of £11,750 for undergraduate degrees, £12,500 for MA/MSc courses and £13,000 for the MBA.

For a Student visa, UK Visas and Immigration asks for English at CEFR B2 for degree-level study and B1 below degree level, per gov.uk. At degree level, gov.uk adds, your university can assess your English itself and may ask you to take a different test.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Wrexham programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
