I'd like to talk about a stainless steel sports water bottle that I take with me whenever I work out. It's matte black with a textured grip, which is really handy because it doesn't slip out of my hands when they get sweaty during an intense session. It holds about seven hundred and fifty millilitres, so it's spacious enough to keep me hydrated without being overly bulky to carry around.

I actually picked it up about a year ago from a local outdoor pursuits shop in town. I'd just signed up for a half-marathon and realised that my flimsy plastic bottles were constantly leaking in my gym bag, so I decided to invest in something more durable. The shop assistant recommended this insulated one because it keeps liquids ice-cold for hours, even in hot weather.

Nowadays, I use it practically every day. Aside from taking it on my morning runs around the neighbourhood park, I also bring it along to the gym when I do weight training, and I even keep it on my desk at work to remind myself to drink water throughout the day.

What makes it so practical is really the lid mechanism. It has a flip-top straw that I can open with one thumb, which means I don't have to unscrew a cap mid-stride while running on the treadmill. It's completely leak-proof, highly resilient to drops, and cleaning it is straightforward since the mouth is quite wide. To be honest, it has become an indispensable piece of kit for my fitness routine.
