Keys: questions and Band 8 answers
The examiner asks three to five short questions on two or three everyday topics in the first four to five minutes. These are the 4 questions about keys in the BandLadder test bank, with sample answers for the most frequent ones. Aim for two or three sentences each: answer, reason, one detail.

Do you think it's a good idea to leave a key to your home with a neighbor?
Actually, it depends on the level of trust. If you have a long-standing relationship with someone reliable, it is incredibly convenient for emergencies like being locked out, but I would be hesitant to do so with someone I barely know.
Have you ever lost your keys before?
Unfortunately, yes. A few years ago, I managed to drop my house keys somewhere in a busy park while jogging. I spent hours retracing my steps, but they were gone for good, which meant I had to change the locks entirely.
Do you often forget to take your keys with you when you go out?
Not really, as I have developed a routine of checking my pockets before I leave the flat. I keep them on a bright keyring, which makes them much harder to overlook when I am rushing out the door.
Do you usually carry a lot of keys with you?
I prefer to keep things minimal, so I only carry the essentials. I have my front door key, my office fob, and a small key for my bike lock; anything more than that just feels like unnecessary clutter in my bag.
