1

Do you often use kitchen gadgets when you cook?

Yes, pretty much every day. I rely on things like my electric kettle and toaster for breakfast, and I've got an air fryer that saves me loads of time when I'm roasting vegetables or making a quick midweek dinner after work.

2

What is your favourite gadget in your kitchen?

I'd probably say my hand blender. It's really versatile and doesn't take up much space in the cupboard. I use it at least twice a week to whizz up homemade tomato soup or make fruit smoothies in the morning.

3

Did your family have many kitchen gadgets when you were growing up?

Not really, to be honest. My parents kept things quite basic, so we mainly just had a standard microwave and a kettle. My mum preferred preparing everything by hand with a sharp knife and a wooden spoon rather than using bulky machines.

4

Do you think modern kitchen gadgets make people better cooks?

Not necessarily. They certainly make cooking more convenient and cut down prep time, but you still need a good sense of seasoning and timing. A fancy gadget won't help much if you don't know the basics of combining flavours.

5

Is there any kitchen gadget you would like to buy in the future?

I'm actually quite keen on getting a proper espresso machine. At the moment, I just use a simple cafetière, but it'd be lovely to froth milk and make coffee shop style flat whites at home on the weekends.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
