1

What kind of office equipment do you use most often?

Mostly my laptop and an external monitor. Having that extra screen real estate makes multitasking so much easier. I usually keep my spreadsheets open on one display while drafting emails on the other, which saves me heaps of time during a typical working day.

2

Do you prefer working with digital devices or traditional stationery?

I'd say I lean towards digital tools for most tasks, simply because they keep everything organised and backed up. That said, I still keep a notepad on my desk because jotting down quick ideas by hand just feels a lot more immediate to me.

3

Have you ever had a problem with a piece of office equipment?

Plenty of times, unfortunately. Just last month, the communal photocopier in my workplace broke down right when I needed to print out a bulky report before a morning meeting. It had a severe paper jam, and it took ages to sort out.

4

What piece of equipment do you find most essential for your work or study?

Definitely my noise-cancelling headphones. I share a fairly bustling open-plan workspace, so slipping them on helps block out the background chatter and lets me get stuck into my tasks without constantly losing my train of thought.

5

Do you think paper documents will completely disappear from offices in the future?

I doubt it, to be honest. Even though most companies are aiming for paperless environments, physical copies still feel necessary for signing legal contracts or keeping permanent records. Digital systems are convenient, but people still like having a tangible backup just in case.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
