1

Do people in your country use solar power much?

Yes, it's definitely becoming more common these days. A lot of households in my hometown have started fitting panels on their rooftops to cut down on electricity bills, and the government has been offering subsidies to encourage people to make the switch.

2

Have you ever seen solar panels on houses near where you live?

Quite a few, actually. Just down the road from my flat, there's a newly built housing estate where almost every single property has solar panels fitted. It looks quite futuristic, to be honest, and it seems to have inspired a few other neighbours to do the same.

3

Would you like to have solar panels installed on your roof?

Absolutely, I'd love to. Although the upfront cost can be quite steep, it pays for itself over time by drastically reducing utility bills. Plus, I really like the idea of generating my own clean energy rather than relying entirely on the national grid.

4

Did you learn about renewable energy when you were at school?

I did, yes. In secondary school science lessons, our teacher taught us about alternative energy sources like wind and solar power. We even built a tiny solar-powered toy car for a class project, which really helped me understand how sunlight gets converted into electricity.

5

Do you think solar energy will become more popular in the future?

Without a doubt. As technology advances, solar panels are becoming far more efficient and affordable for ordinary families. Given the rising cost of living and growing concerns about climate change, I think it'll simply become standard for most modern homes.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
