IELTS in Iraq — fees in USD, test centres and the scores your route needs

The British Council runs IELTS at 10 locations. On computer: IDEL Institute (Sulaymaniyah), Basrah University, Edwina American Academy (Erbil), the American University in Iraq Baghdad, the University of Mosul and the University of Anbar. On paper: Al Yarmouk International Hotel (Baghdad), Dedeman Hotel (Erbil), Soleimani Polytechnic University (Sulaymaniyah) and the University of Basra. Writing on Paper is offered on computer tests except UKVI. The British Council says computer results arrive in three to five days (its results page says typically two); paper results take 13 days.

Australia's Proficient English (IELTS 7.0 each) adds 10 points and Superior (8.0 each) adds 20, achieved within three years of the visa application. Canada accepts only IELTS General Training for Express Entry, and the result must be under two years old. UK universities usually ask 6.0 to 6.5 for undergraduate and 6.5 to 7.0 for postgraduate study.
