What IELTS score do you need for Florida Atlantic University?

Graduate applicants send TOEFL (FAU code 5229), IELTS or Duolingo scores directly to the Graduate College; Level VI of the Academic Track at FAU's Intensive English Institute also counts. These are university minimums, and the MS in Electrical Engineering, for example, repeats TOEFL 79 or IELTS 6.0 on its admission requirements. Graduate conditional admission is not stated by FAU.

You need no test after three years of secondary school with a full English curriculum, or after at least 60 post-secondary credits, an associate degree or higher from a US regionally accredited institution or a recognised institution abroad with a full curriculum of instruction in English. FAU names no countries, so an Indian degree taught fully in English can qualify. See the Graduate College.

Undergraduates who do not reach SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 490 or ACT Reading 19 and English 17, or an English-medium schooling route, submit TOEFL iBT 4.5, IELTS 6.5, Cambridge 180, PTE Academic 55, Duolingo 110, ELS 112 or another listed exam.
