Waiver and timing
GEM may waive the English test if your bachelor's degree was fully taught in English, with official proof, so a medium-of-instruction letter from an Indian, Pakistani or Nigerian university can be enough. For the Master in Management, English scores must reach GEM by the beginning of July for a September start, and a GMAT, GRE or CAT score is recommended but not mandatory.
MSc admissions run first come, first served and you may be invited to an interview. The Master in Management lists tuition of EUR 17,000 for each of its two years from September 2026.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your GEM programme page and in your offer, so check it there before you book a test.

Where Grenoble Ecole de Management publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.
Competitive programmes, and courses with far more applicants than places, may expect more than the minimum, and some departments set their own overall or per-skill scores, often for writing or speaking. The course page has the final word, so check it before you book a test.
