The table combines the city list on IDP Canada's test centre finder and the city filter in the ielts.org finder, both read on 10 October 2026. Venues come and go, especially temporary venues such as hotels and schools, so pick your city and check live sessions when booking. Addresses and phone numbers are left out on purpose.

IDP or British Council: what differs
Both run the same test, but prices and policies are set per provider and centre. IDP's centre pages showed CAD 379 in most provinces and CAD 359 in Calgary, Edmonton and at one Victoria venue. British Council partner centres ranged from CAD 330 (Montreal) and CAD 346.50 (BITTS and Xyna in Alberta and British Columbia) to CAD 389 (Winnipeg and Brandon) and CAD 395 (Thunder Bay). Prices may be subject to tax.
In the Greater Toronto Area and Metro Vancouver you will usually find both providers within reach, so compare the two before booking. In smaller cities such as Prince Rupert, Timmins or Smithers, IDP lists sessions run with partner colleges, which may not be every month.

IELTS for UKVI and Life Skills were listed only at IDP Vancouver and IDP Markham on 10 October 2026. Writing on Paper (handwritten Writing, other skills on computer) is widely offered, including at IDP centres marked Paper and many British Council venues; check the format shown on each session.
For Express Entry, book IELTS General Training at any of these centres; IRCC does not accept IELTS Academic or One Skill Retake for it (IRCC).
