The table lists every New Zealand centre in IDP New Zealand's finder, read on 10 October 2026, with formats from the ielts.org finder. All are IDP centres or IDP partners such as the University of Canterbury and Wintec. Addresses and phone numbers are left out on purpose.
IDP's city list also has pages for Nelson and Palmerston North, which have no permanent centre on the list; check those pages for any sessions. How to choose a centre
The fee is NZD 490 everywhere, so choose on dates and travel. Auckland has two centres and the only Writing on Paper, UKVI and Life Skills sessions in the country; if you need a UK visa test from the South Island, plan a trip to Auckland.
A booking cannot be moved to another centre, but you can change the date, format or module once free at the same centre (IDP NZ policy). Most centres offer One Skill Retake, which INZ accepts for skilled residence. Fees and INZ rules are in IELTS fee in New Zealand.
