What IELTS score do you need for Northern Illinois University?

NIU asks for an English score in addition to any entrance tests your program requires. Admitted students have scores sent with institution code 1559, or send Duolingo results through the Duolingo website. NIU recognizes Indian degrees from UGC-recognized universities, deemed universities and Institutes of National Importance; a three-year BCom or BBA from a NAAC "A" institution qualifies only for the MBA or OMIS programs. You need no score with a bachelor's or higher from the US or a listed country, such as Australia, Canada, Ghana, Hong Kong, Ireland, Kenya, New Zealand, Nigeria, Singapore, South Africa or the UK. First-year applicants prove English with TOEFL 71, IELTS 6.0, PTE Academic 48, Duolingo 105, IGCSE, GCSE or GCE O-level or A-level English at grade C, IB English A Standard Level 4, ELS Level 112, or more than two years at a US high school. See freshman requirements.
