How much is the PTE exam fee in Tunisia?

The practical difference in Tunisia is payment. Pearson takes only international cards (Amex, Discover, Mastercard, Visa) in dollars, while the British Council takes IELTS fees in dinars only, mostly by Tunisian bank transfer (750 TND; see IELTS exam fee in Tunisia). If you have no card that works abroad, IELTS is easier to pay for.

Pearson's rules are the same everywhere (cancellation and rescheduling policy, last updated 17 September 2026, and refund policy). You can reschedule free while more than 14 full calendar days remain, up to six times per booking. Inside 14 days the Reschedule button disappears, so you must cancel and book again. A cancellation more than 14 days out refunds 100%, between 14 and 7 days 50%, and at 7 days or fewer nothing.

If illness or a family emergency stops you attending, Pearson may let you reschedule free at its discretion; submit the Request Emergency Reschedule form with evidence no later than 72 hours after the appointment. See our PTE reschedule, cancel and refund guide.

To book, create a myPTE account, choose the test, pick a centre and a slot at least 24 hours ahead, and pay. Pearson accepts American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa, and a voucher or promo code is entered at the payment step (Pearson booking guide). Your account name must match your passport exactly; it can be corrected up to 3 days before the test, never on test day, and a mismatch means no test and no refund.

One warning for nurses: the NMC accepts only IELTS Academic and OET, so PTE cannot be used for UK nursing registration, even though PTE Academic UKVI works for UK visas. Compare the options in OET vs PTE for nurses. Translate a band requirement with the PTE to IELTS converter, then take a free PTE mock test.
