How much is the PTE exam fee in 2026?

PTE Core is the test accepted by IRCC for Canadian permanent residency and citizenship. The price finder listed it at the same fee as PTE Academic in 19 of the 20 countries; for Vietnam it listed PTE Academic and Academic UKVI but not PTE Core.

PTE Home (A1, A2 and B1), the two-skill tests for UK family, visa extension and citizenship applications, costs less: for example INR 15,300 in India, GBP 170 in the UK, CAD 305 in Canada and AUD 420 in Australia for PTE Home A1.

For Nigeria and China, Pearson's fees page links to voucher resellers (Pearson).

The same rules apply in every country, from Pearson's cancellation and rescheduling policy (last updated 17 September 2026) and refund policy. You can reschedule free while more than 14 full calendar days remain, up to six times per booking. Inside 14 days the Reschedule button disappears, so you must cancel and book a new test.

If illness or a family emergency stops you attending, Pearson may let you reschedule free at its discretion. Submit the Request Emergency Reschedule form with evidence no later than 72 hours after your appointment. More detail is in our PTE reschedule, cancel and refund guide.

Choose your country in the price finder to see the current fee and test centres, then book and pay in your myPTE account, where you can also check bookings and scores. The fee is per attempt, and a cancellation inside 7 days refunds nothing, so pick a date you can keep.

Before you pay, practise free before you pay the fee: a full PTE mock test scored by BandLadder AI shows whether you are ready for your target.
