Reschedule, cancellation and refund rules
Pearson applies the same rules in France as everywhere else (cancellation and rescheduling policy and refund policy). You can reschedule free while more than 14 full calendar days remain. Inside 14 days you must cancel and book again: between 14 and 7 full days you get 50% back, and with 7 days or fewer nothing.
For illness or a family emergency, Pearson may allow a free reschedule if you send the emergency request with evidence no later than 72 hours after your appointment; acceptance is at its discretion.
| Time left before the test | Reschedule | Refund if you cancel |
|---|---|---|
| More than 14 full calendar days | Free | 100% |
| 14 days down to more than 7 days | Not possible: cancel and book again | 50% |
| 7 days or fewer | Not possible: cancel and book again | None |
How to book and pay
To book, create a myPTE account, choose the test, pick a centre and a slot at least 24 hours ahead, and pay (Pearson's booking guide). Pearson takes credit and debit cards plus Google Pay and Apple Pay, does not accept PayPal, and needs full payment in the currency shown (payment policy). You can sit PTE up to 12 times in any 12 months (retake policy).
Pearson says a genuine reseller never promises a score and that it cannot recover money paid to third parties outside official channels (booking safely). Book on pearsonpte.com with your own email address and card. Take a free PTE mock test first, and confirm your programme accepts PTE, for example Sciences Po.
