How much is the PTE exam fee in Portugal in 2026?

IELTS costs EUR 291, IELTS for UKVI EUR 313 and Life Skills EUR 208 (IELTS fee in Portugal). PTE Academic saves EUR 16 and PTE Academic UKVI EUR 38; IELTS Life Skills is EUR 22 cheaper than PTE Home.

IELTS also runs in Porto, Coimbra, the Algarve and Madeira, while PTE is in Lisbon only (PTE test centres in Portugal).

Pearson applies the same rules in Portugal as everywhere else (cancellation and rescheduling policy and refund policy). You can reschedule free while more than 14 full calendar days remain. Inside 14 days you must cancel and book again: between 14 and 7 full days you get 50% back, and with 7 days or fewer nothing.

For illness or a family emergency, Pearson may allow a free reschedule if you send the emergency request with evidence no later than 72 hours after your appointment; acceptance is at its discretion.

To book, create a myPTE account, choose the test, pick a centre and a slot at least 24 hours ahead, and pay (Pearson's booking guide). Pearson takes credit and debit cards plus Google Pay and Apple Pay, does not accept PayPal, and needs full payment in the currency shown (payment policy). You can sit PTE up to 12 times in any 12 months (retake policy). MB WAY and Multibanco are not listed, so have a card ready.

Pearson says a genuine reseller never promises a score and that it cannot recover money paid to third parties outside official channels (booking safely). Book on pearsonpte.com with your own email address and card. Try a free PTE mock test before you book.
