Where to take PTE in Sri Lanka and what it costs
PTE Academic and PTE Academic UKVI are delivered in Colombo, where Pearson launched two UKVI-approved centres in July 2021. Fees are shown per centre in Pearson's price finder; confirm the amount when you book. IELTS on computer at IDP Sri Lanka is LKR 77,000 for comparison.

Australia's thresholds are per skill for tests from 7 August 2025: Competent 47 listening, 48 reading, 51 writing, 54 speaking; Proficient 58 / 59 / 69 / 76 for 10 points; Superior 69 / 70 / 85 / 88 for 20. Canada does not accept PTE Academic for Express Entry: PTE Core CLB 7 is listening 60, reading 60, writing 69, speaking 68. UK visas need 59 in each skill for B2.
PTE or IELTS from Sri Lanka?
IELTS has ten centres from Jaffna to Matara and a human examiner; PTE is concentrated in Colombo, computer-scored and faster. Both are accepted for Australia, the UK and New Zealand with identical outcomes, so decide by a scored mock of each and by travel.
