How much is the PTE exam fee in the Netherlands in 2026?

IELTS on computer costs EUR 283 at IDP and EUR 297 at the British Council, IELTS for UKVI EUR 319 and Life Skills EUR 210 (IELTS fee in the Netherlands). So PTE Academic saves EUR 8 to EUR 22, and PTE Academic UKVI saves EUR 44 on a UK visa test. For UK family routes, IELTS Life Skills is EUR 20 cheaper than PTE Home.

The trade-off is choice of place. IELTS runs in 11 Dutch cities and PTE in one, so if you live in Groningen, Maastricht or Eindhoven, add the trip to Diemen (PTE test centres in the Netherlands). Compare the formats in IELTS or PTE: which is easier?.

Pearson applies the same rules in the Netherlands as everywhere else (cancellation and rescheduling policy and refund policy). You can reschedule free while more than 14 full calendar days remain, up to six times per booking. Inside 14 days the Reschedule button disappears, so you must cancel and book again: between 14 and 7 full days you get 50% back, and with 7 days or fewer nothing.

For illness or a family emergency, Pearson may allow a free reschedule if you send the Request Emergency Reschedule form with evidence no later than 72 hours after your appointment; acceptance is at its discretion.

To book, create a myPTE account, choose the test, pick a centre and a slot at least 24 hours ahead, and pay (Pearson's booking guide). Pearson takes credit and debit cards plus Google Pay and Apple Pay, does not accept PayPal, and needs full payment in the currency shown (payment policy). You can sit PTE up to 12 times in any 12 months (retake policy). Unlike BLTC for IELTS, Pearson does not list iDEAL, so have a card ready.

Pearson says a genuine reseller offers the test at the published price or a small discount and never promises a score, and that it cannot recover money paid to third parties outside official channels (booking safely). Book on pearsonpte.com with your own email address and card. Check your level with a free PTE mock test first, and confirm what your university accepts, for example Leiden University or Erasmus University Rotterdam.
