The figures are copied from Pearson's test centers and fees finder with Norway selected. Pearson's price feed also lists PTE Academic Online, taken at home, at USD 350; check that your university accepts it before booking.

| PTE Academic | USD 350 | University admission, Australian and New Zealand visas |
| PTE Academic UKVI | USD 350 | UK visas that need a Secure English Language Test |

Paying in dollars, and how PTE compares with IELTS
Pearson prices PTE in Norway in US dollars, not the local currency, and asks for full payment in the currency shown. Your card issuer converts USD 350 at its own rate, so the amount in local currency depends on the day you pay.
IELTS costs NOK 3,850 on computer, paid by bank transfer within 5 days, and runs in Oslo, Bergen and Stavanger (IELTS fee in Norway). EDU Testing runs no IELTS in July, so check PTE slots if you need a summer date. Compare formats in IELTS or PTE: which is easier?.

Reschedule, cancellation and refund rules
Pearson applies the same rules in Norway as everywhere else (cancellation and rescheduling policy and refund policy). You can reschedule free while more than 14 full calendar days remain, up to six times per booking. Inside 14 days the Reschedule button disappears, so you must cancel and book again: between 14 and 7 full days you get 50% back, and with 7 days or fewer nothing.
For illness or a family emergency, Pearson may allow a free reschedule if you send the Request Emergency Reschedule form with evidence no later than 72 hours after your appointment; acceptance is at its discretion.
| Time left before the test | Reschedule | Refund if you cancel |
|---|---|---|
| More than 14 full calendar days | Free, up to 6 times per booking | 100% |
| 14 days down to more than 7 days | Not possible: cancel and book again | 50% |
| 7 days or fewer | Not possible: cancel and book again | None |
How to book and pay
To book, create a myPTE account, choose the test, pick a centre and a slot at least 24 hours ahead, and pay (Pearson's booking guide). Pearson takes credit and debit cards plus Google Pay and Apple Pay, does not accept PayPal, and needs full payment in the currency shown (payment policy). You can sit PTE up to 12 times in any 12 months (retake policy).
Pearson says a genuine reseller offers the test at the published price or a small discount and never promises a score, and that it cannot recover money paid to third parties outside official channels (booking safely).
