What IELTS score do you need for the University of Tulsa?

Applicants whose first language is not English take the TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo and have official results sent to the Graduate School; the minimums are TOEFL 80, IELTS 6.5, Duolingo 105 and Pearson 56. Specific programs ask for more: all College of Business programs, Clinical and I/O Psychology, all DNP programs, the Master of Athletic Training and the Speech-Language Pathology master's want TOEFL 90 and Duolingo 110, and Chemical Engineering wants TOEFL 85 and Duolingo 110. Graduates of a US high school, college or university, and citizens of listed countries such as Australia, Canada, Ghana, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa and the UK, do not need to prove English. India and Pakistan are not on the list. If your degree comes from an institution where the language of instruction is English, the test may be waived on petition at the Graduate Dean's discretion; email grad@utulsa.edu to ask.

Non-native speakers meet one standard: TOEFL iBT or Home Edition 70 (ETS code 6883), IELTS 6.0, PTE Academic 48 with no subscore below 44, or Cambridge English 169 with no score below 162. ELS Level 112, The Language Company Level 9 or Kaplan Advanced also count, as do 30 credit hours at a US college. Conditional admission is available for academically qualified students. The international applicants page lists Duolingo among accepted tests and says copies of scores are accepted if an admission official can verify them on the testing website, but it does not print a Duolingo minimum for undergraduates.
