Where can I take IELTS or PTE in Abuja?

Pearson's test centre finder listed two PTE centres in Abuja on 10 October 2026, both partner venues: Brookstone International Schools Limited and Emerging Trees Ltd. Emerging Trees also runs Pearson's only listed centre in Kaduna, the nearest alternative to the north.

Pearson's finder does not say which tests each centre runs on which day. When you book, choose PTE Academic, PTE Academic UKVI or PTE Core first and then your city; only centres with slots for that test appear.

Read on 10 October 2026 in the British Council's booking system, IDP's session listings for Abuja, both providers' Nigeria fee pages and Pearson's price finder with Nigeria selected. IELTS costs the same at both providers. Pearson prices PTE in US dollars; ApplyBoard and Centerbase sell official vouchers in naira. We found no Life Skills sessions in Abuja to 31 December; IDP listed them only in Lagos (NGN 298,500).

Refund, transfer and payment rules are in our IELTS fee in Nigeria and PTE fee in Nigeria guides.

Kaduna has a PTE centre (Emerging Trees Limited) and Kano has IELTS venues from both providers. For Life Skills or the widest choice of dates, Lagos has seven British Council venues and three IDP centres. See our Lagos guide, and the Nigeria test centre list for every city.

IELTS: book online with the British Council or IDP, choose Abuja and pick a session; the venue address comes in your confirmation. The British Council asks for a valid identity card or passport, valid on the booking date and on test day, and takes cards, PayPal or Klarna instalments online; a parent registers candidates under 18.

PTE: create a myPTE account with details that exactly match your ID, choose the test, then Abuja, a centre and a slot at least 24 hours ahead (Pearson's booking guide). Pearson's ID policy asks for a valid passport. Nigeria is not on its list of countries where another ID is accepted. Pearson's fees page names ApplyBoard and Centerbase as official voucher resellers in Nigeria if you want to pay in naira.

Results: the British Council's booking system says 1 to 5 days for IELTS on computer, and Pearson sends PTE scores typically within 48 hours (PTE scoring). Before you pay, take a free IELTS mock test or a free PTE mock test to check you are ready.
