Where can I take IELTS or PTE in Lagos?

Pearson's test centre finder listed three PTE centres in Lagos on 10 October 2026, all partner venues: Bellaz Education Services, Centerbase International Communications Ltd and Centerbase's Lekki Phase 1 branch. Centerbase is also one of the two official voucher resellers Pearson names for Nigeria, with ApplyBoard. The nearest PTE centre outside Lagos is Centerbase's Ibadan branch.

Pearson's finder does not say which tests each centre runs on which day. When you book, choose PTE Academic, PTE Academic UKVI or PTE Core first and then your city; only centres with slots for that test appear.

IELTS for UKVI costs NGN 315,500 at both providers. In Lagos IDP listed it on 22 days at Victoria Island and 20 at Landmark (Ikeja), and the British Council on 14 days at Premier Hub Innovation Centre in Yaba and 3 at Workforce Group in Ikeja, between 11 October and 31 December 2026. Book it only if your UK visa or university asks for it (IELTS for UKVI vs Academic).

IDP's Ikeja Life Skills room listed IELTS for UKVI Life Skills A1 and B1 on 2 days, from 31 October, at NGN 298,500 (IELTS Life Skills guide).

Read on 10 October 2026 in the British Council's booking system, IDP's session listings for Lagos, both providers' Nigeria fee pages and Pearson's price finder with Nigeria selected. IELTS is priced in naira and costs the same at every venue of both providers. Pearson prices PTE in US dollars; to pay in naira, buy a voucher from ApplyBoard or Centerbase, the resellers Pearson names for Nigeria.

Refund, transfer and payment rules are in our IELTS fee in Nigeria and PTE fee in Nigeria guides.

Ibadan has IELTS venues from both providers and a Centerbase PTE centre, and the British Council also tests in Abeokuta. Abuja has a British Council centre, an IDP centre and two PTE centres. See our Abuja guide, and the Nigeria test centre list for every city.

IELTS: book online with the British Council or IDP, choose Lagos and pick a session; the venue address comes in your confirmation. The British Council asks for a valid identity card or passport, valid on the booking date and on test day, and takes cards, PayPal or Klarna instalments online; a parent registers candidates under 18.

PTE: create a myPTE account with details that exactly match your ID, choose the test, then Lagos, a centre and a slot at least 24 hours ahead (Pearson's booking guide). Pearson's ID policy asks for a valid passport. Nigeria is not on its list of countries where another ID is accepted. Pearson's fees page names ApplyBoard and Centerbase as official voucher resellers in Nigeria if you want to pay in naira.

Results: the British Council's booking system says 1 to 5 days for IELTS on computer, and Pearson sends PTE scores typically within 48 hours (PTE scoring). Before you pay, take a free IELTS mock test or a free PTE mock test to check you are ready.
