IELTS test cities in Uzbekistan by provider
City lists come from the British Council's dates, fees and locations page and IDP's test centre finder, read on 9 October 2026. IDP's finder also has test date pages for Andijan, Fergana, Namangan, Navoi, Nukus and Samarkand, but showed centres only in the four cities below. Use the finders or the ielts.org test centre finder for venues; we leave out addresses because they change.

How to choose a centre
Tashkent has the most dates with both providers: IDP's Tashkent page showed 299 upcoming sessions on 9 October 2026, almost all IELTS Academic on computer (IDP Tashkent). If you need IELTS for UKVI or Life Skills for a UK visa, the British Council's Tashkent sessions are the place to look, since IDP does not list UKVI in Uzbekistan.
Outside the capital the British Council's network is wider, which matters in the Fergana valley and Karakalpakstan. If you might need a One Skill Retake, IDP marks every one of its four centres as offering it; the retake must be with the same provider within 60 days of your test.
