How to choose a PTE centre
The fee does not change by city, so choose on slot availability and travel. Cities with several centres (Ahmedabad with four; Jalandhar, Mohali, Surat, Kochi, Bangalore and Chandigarh with three) give you more slots to choose from. The Delhi NCR area has four centres across New Delhi, Noida and Gurugram.
Punjab and Haryana together hold 20 of India's 57 centres, many of them in smaller cities such as Barnala, Firozpur, Sirsa, Ambala Cantt and Kurukshetra. If you live in the region, check these before travelling to a big city.
Pearson's finder does not show which centres run every test on every day. When you book, choose the exact test first (PTE Academic, Academic UKVI, Core or Home) and then your city; only centres with that test's slots appear. You can pick a slot at least 24 hours ahead (Pearson's booking guide).

PTE Academic UKVI (for UK visas) and PTE Core (for Canadian immigration) are both priced at INR 18,900 in India and are booked the same way as PTE Academic. Make sure you book the right one: a PTE Academic result cannot be swapped for a UKVI or Core result after the test. See PTE Academic vs PTE Core and PTE Home if you are unsure.
Before you travel to a centre, take a free PTE mock test so the attempt counts. Reschedule and refund rules are in our PTE fee in India guide.
