How to answer

Matching Sentence Endings: how to approach it

  1. 1

Sentence starts follow the passage order, so locate each one before you look at the endings.

  2. 2

Check grammar first: some endings cannot follow the start at all.

  3. 3

Then check meaning: the full sentence must agree with the passage, not just sound right.

  4. 4

There are more endings than you need, so expect distractors that repeat passage words.
