How to answer

Summary Completion: how to approach it

  1. 1

Find which part of the passage the summary covers; it is usually one or two paragraphs.

  2. 2

Predict each missing word's type from the words around the gap.

  3. 3

If there is a word box, expect synonyms of the passage words, not copies.

  4. 4

Re-read the finished summary to check it makes sense.
