The visa leaves English to your institution

Courses longer than 90 days need a National Long Stay (D) visa from Identità's Central Visa Unit. Its document list asks for an enrolment letter from an MFHEA-registered institution with proof of payment, bank statements showing at least 75% of the national minimum wage for every month of study, travel and medical insurance with at least €30,000 cover, and a passport valid for 10 months; apply at least nine weeks before the course. The visa fee is €100 (age 12 and over). The list names no English test: the University of Malta sets its own.

The University of Malta teaches in English and requires a Secure English Language Test result from applicants who finished secondary school overseas. IELTS Academic, IELTS UKVI and One Skill Retake are considered; IELTS, TOEFL and ISET results must be issued within two years of the course start (the page states no validity for PTE). Non-EU applicants who need a visa must submit the result by 1 July for the October intake and 10 November for February.
