Where can I take IELTS or PTE in Pune?

Pearson's test centre finder listed one PTE centre in Pune on 9 October 2026: Pearson Professional Centers – Pune, run by Pearson itself.

Pearson's finder does not say which tests each centre runs on which day. When you book, choose PTE Academic, PTE Academic UKVI or PTE Core first and then your city; only centres with slots for that test appear.

Both providers charge one national price, so Pune costs the same as every other Indian city. The amounts below were read on 9 October 2026 on IDP India's fee page and Pearson's price finder with India selected. Some IDP city pages still quote INR 18,000 in their overview text; the fee page lists INR 19,000. For refund and transfer rules, see our IELTS fee in India and PTE fee in India guides.

IDP's other Maharashtra labs are in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane, all UKVI-approved; Nagpur and Nasik are on its city directory without a lab. For PTE, the only other Maharashtra centre on Pearson's list is in Mumbai. See our Mumbai, Nagpur and Surat guides.

IELTS: book online on IDP India's site, in person at an IDP branch or registration partner, or by courier (how to register). Pick the test first, then the module and the test city, and choose a Pune venue from the list. IDP asks for a copy of your passport (first and last pages, plus any observation pages) and you must bring the original passport on test day.

PTE: book on pearsonpte.com or through an authorised PTE partner. Choose the test, enter Pune, pick a centre and a slot at least 24 hours ahead (Pearson's booking guide). Pearson's ID policy asks for a valid passport for all PTE tests, and your booking name must match it exactly.

Results: IDP's results page says IELTS on Computer results are typically available within 1–2 days of the test and paper results 7 days after it; IDP gives seven days for Life Skills. Pearson says PTE results typically arrive within two days. Before you pay, try a free IELTS mock test or a free PTE mock test to check you are ready.
