Where can you take IELTS and PTE in Kochi?

Pearson's test centre finder lists Kochi under its older name, Cochin, with three centres: Santa Monica Study Abroad Pvt Ltd, and Muthoot Institute of Technology & Science, Site 1 and Site 2. The two Muthoot sites are at Puthencruz in Ernakulam district rather than in central Kochi, so check the venue on your booking before test day. None of the three is a Pearson Professional Center.

Kochi holds three of Kerala's four PTE centres; the other is in Thiruvananthapuram. Pearson's finder does not show which centre runs which PTE test on which day, so pick your test first and the booking page will show only centres with slots.

IDP flags the Kochi lab as having limited access for people with disabilities and names Calicut as the better-equipped alternative (UKVI centre list); if you need step-free access, book Kozhikode instead. Candidates from Thrissur and Kottayam usually look at Kochi first, because Thrissur has no test city in IDP's booking form and Kottayam has no UKVI-approved lab.

IDP's own Kochi city page still quotes INR 18,000 in one paragraph, but IDP's fee page lists INR 19,000 for IELTS on computer and Writing on Paper. Go by the fee page and the amount shown at checkout.

Fees do not change by city. IDP charges one national price for IELTS (IDP India fee page) and Pearson sets one price for PTE in India (test centers and fees), so a test in Kochi costs exactly what it costs in Delhi or Mumbai. Travelling to another city never makes the test cheaper; it only changes the dates and formats on offer. IELTS: book online with IDP India, in person at an IDP branch or registration partner, or by courier (how to register). In the online form choose the test (IELTS on Computer, IELTS Writing on Paper, Computer-delivered IELTS for UKVI or Life Skills), then the module, then the test city; IDP lists this city as "Kochi". You need your passport to register, and you must carry the original passport on test day.

PTE: on pearsonpte.com choose the exact test first (PTE Academic, Academic UKVI or Core), then the city, centre and a slot at least 24 hours ahead (booking guide). Pearson's identification policy asks for a valid passport, and the name on your booking must match it exactly.

Results: IDP says IELTS on computer results arrive 1 to 2 days after the test (IDP FAQ), Writing on Paper results after 7 calendar days (IDP) and Life Skills results within seven days (IDP). Pearson says most PTE Academic results arrive within two business days, occasionally up to five (PTE Academic). Each attempt costs close to INR 19,000, so check your level first with a free IELTS mock test or free PTE mock test.
