Where can I take IELTS or PTE in Manila?

Pearson's test centre finder listed four PTE centres in Metro Manila on 10 October 2026: Pearson Professional Centers–Manila and ACE Testing Hub and MISNET Education in Makati, and Pearson Professional Centers–Alabang in Muntinlupa. The two Pearson Professional Centers are run by Pearson itself and are the only ones in the Philippines.

Pearson's finder does not say which tests each centre runs on which day. When you book, choose PTE Academic, PTE Academic UKVI or PTE Core first and then your city; only centres with slots for that test appear.

IELTS for UKVI costs PHP 16,230 at both providers, and Manila is where it is easiest to find: IDP listed it on 48 days in Makati and 44 in España, and the British Council on 13 days in Taguig, 6 in Cubao and 5 at 9.0 Niner Manila, between 11 October and 31 December 2026. Book it only if your UK visa or course asks for it (IELTS for UKVI vs Academic).

IDP's Makati Life Skills room listed IELTS for UKVI Life Skills A1 and B1 on paper on 10 days, at PHP 11,260 (IELTS Life Skills guide). The British Council also sells IELTS Academic Online, taken at home, for PHP 14,470; it is not accepted by immigration authorities (IELTS Online vs computer vs paper).

IELTS costs the same at both providers and at every Manila venue. Pearson prices PTE in US dollars only, so the peso amount depends on your card's exchange rate.

IELTS: book online with the British Council or IDP, choose Manila and pick a session; the venue address comes in your confirmation. IDP accepts a passport, the Philippine National ID card, or a PRC, SSS, GSIS or UMID ID, and cancels unpaid bookings after 48 hours; the British Council gives you 24 hours to pay by card or through Dragonpay (online banking, InstaPay, QR Ph, GCash, PayMaya).

PTE: create a myPTE account with details that exactly match your ID, choose the test, then Manila, a centre and a slot at least 24 hours ahead (Pearson's booking guide). Pearson's ID policy prefers a passport, but Filipino citizens testing in the Philippines may instead show a driver's licence, military ID, national ID, SSS ID, UMID or PRC ID, as long as it shows name, date of birth, signature and photo (or a second ID covers what is missing).

Results: the British Council's booking system says 1 to 5 days for IELTS on computer, and Pearson sends PTE scores typically within 48 hours (PTE scoring). Before you pay, take a free IELTS mock test or a free PTE mock test to check you are ready.
