What is the best Magoosh IELTS alternative?+
For a cheaper short plan with AI writing and speaking scores, BandLadder plans start at 7 days, priced in your local currency. For human marking by former IELTS examiners and live classes, E2Language starts at US$75.90 for 90 days. For free official practice, British Council IELTS Ready gives 2 full mocks with an account.
Is there a free alternative to Magoosh IELTS?+
British Council IELTS Ready, IELTS Free Tests and LeapScholar each give at least one full mock free, and IELTS Beacon describes its mocks and AI writing feedback as free. BandLadder has a free account with one full mock and daily AI evaluations. Checked 27 September 2026.
Which Magoosh alternative has more full mock tests?+
BandLadder lists 100+ full-length IELTS mocks, British Council IELTS Ready Premium has 40 (free only when you book your test with the British Council), and LeapScholar's paid course lists 50+.
Is AI IELTS grading accurate?+
AI grading is a fast practice guide, not an official band. Good tools score against the four public criteria and show what held the band back; for a high target, one or two human-marked essays are a useful cross-check.
