Where can you take IELTS and PTE in Jalandhar?

IDP's booking form on 9 October 2026 listed IELTS on computer and IELTS for UKVI sessions in Jalandhar on 42 dates between 13 October and 31 December 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Writing on Paper was listed on 53 dates, and on some days in both a morning (9:00 AM) and an afternoon (1:00 PM) session.

IELTS Life Skills A1 and B1 (INR 18,000), used for some UK family and settlement visas, had three dates in Jalandhar between 29 October and 10 December 2026. IDP offers Life Skills in only 13 Indian cities; in the region the other is Chandigarh.

IDP flags the Jalandhar lab as having limited access for people with disabilities and names Amritsar as the accessible alternative. If you need special arrangements, book at Amritsar or contact IDP before paying.

Hoshiarpur is not on IDP's permanent lab list, but the booking form offered IELTS on computer sessions there on 43 dates and IELTS for UKVI sessions from 1 November 2026. Kapurthala and Nawanshahr are in IDP's directory but were not offered as test cities. The nearest other labs are Ludhiana and Amritsar.

With three centres, Jalandhar ties with Mohali and Chandigarh for the most PTE centres in the region. Two of Pearson's 19 own centres in India are here, and two more are in Amritsar.

There is no local price: IDP and Pearson each charge one fee across India, so Jalandhar costs the same as Delhi or Kerala. IELTS: on IDP India's site choose Register for IELTS, then the test (IELTS on Computer, IELTS Writing on Paper, IELTS for UKVI or Life Skills), the module, and Jalandhar as the test city; the dates and session times shown there are the live ones (how to register). You can also register in person at an IDP branch or registration partner. Upload a clear colour scan of your passport when you book and bring the original on test day. Speaking can fall on a different day, up to 7 days before or after the written test.

PTE: on pearsonpte.com choose the test first (Academic, Academic UKVI, Core or Home), then type Jalandhar or the nearest centre city; only centres with slots for that test appear, and slots open at least 24 hours ahead (Pearson's booking guide). Enter your name exactly as on your passport, middle names in Given names; details can be corrected up to 3 days before the test, and a mismatch on the day means no test and no refund.

Results: IDP says most IELTS on computer results arrive within 2 days, Writing on Paper results after 7 calendar days, and Life Skills results within seven days. Pearson says most PTE Academic results arrive within two business days, occasionally up to five.
