Where can you take IELTS and PTE in Ludhiana?

On 9 October 2026, IDP's booking form listed IELTS on computer sessions in Ludhiana on 54 dates between 14 October and 31 December 2026, with the written test from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and Writing on Paper sessions from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. IELTS for UKVI (INR 19,250) was listed on the same 54 dates.

Life Skills (A1 and B1) is not offered in Ludhiana. IDP runs it in only 13 Indian cities; the nearest are Jalandhar and Chandigarh, each with three Life Skills dates between 29 October and 10 December 2026.

IDP's Ludhiana city page still quotes an IELTS fee of INR 18,000 in its overview text. That figure is out of date: the fee page and the booking form both charged INR 19,000 on 9 October 2026.

Khanna has its own IDP lab with IELTS on computer, Writing on Paper and One Skill Retake, but it is not marked UKVI approved on IDP's list, and IDP flags it as having limited access for people with disabilities, naming Ludhiana as the alternative. Barnala is in the same position. Jagraon and Raikot appear in IDP's city directory but were not offered as test cities in its booking form.

For PTE, the next centres are in Mohali and Jalandhar (three each) and Barnala (one). If you are coming from Moga, which has no PTE centre, Ludhiana is one of the closest options.

There is no local price: IDP and Pearson each charge one fee across India, so Ludhiana costs the same as Delhi or Kerala. IELTS figures are from IDP India's fee page and match the prices IDP's booking form showed for Ludhiana-area sessions on 9 October 2026; PTE figures are from Pearson's price finder. Refund and transfer rules are in our IELTS fee in India and PTE fee in India guides.

IELTS: on IDP India's site choose Register for IELTS, then the test (IELTS on Computer, IELTS Writing on Paper, IELTS for UKVI or Life Skills), the module, and Ludhiana as the test city; the dates and session times shown there are the live ones (how to register). You can also register in person at an IDP branch or registration partner. Upload a clear colour scan of your passport when you book and bring the original on test day. Speaking can fall on a different day, up to 7 days before or after the written test.

PTE: on pearsonpte.com choose the test first (Academic, Academic UKVI, Core or Home), then type Ludhiana or the nearest centre city; only centres with slots for that test appear, and slots open at least 24 hours ahead (Pearson's booking guide). Enter your name exactly as on your passport, middle names in Given names; details can be corrected up to 3 days before the test, and a mismatch on the day means no test and no refund.

Results: IDP says most IELTS on computer results arrive within 2 days, Writing on Paper results after 7 calendar days, and Life Skills results within seven days. Pearson says most PTE Academic results arrive within two business days, occasionally up to five.
