Where can you take IELTS and PTE in Mohali?

Pearson's two Mohali Professional Centers are listed separately but in the same building, so they are best thought of as one Pearson-run site with two test rooms. Together with Gian Jyoti, that gives Mohali three PTE centres, as many as any city in Punjab.

Chandigarh adds three more (a Pearson Professional Center, Target Consultancy and Kangaroo Studies Pvt. Ltd.), so the tricity has six PTE centres in all. Panchkula has none of its own on Pearson's list.

IDP's booking form on 9 October 2026 listed IELTS on computer, Writing on Paper and IELTS for UKVI at Chandigarh (Sector 17) on 52 dates between 12 October and 30 December 2026, and at Chandigarh - Sec 34 on 54 dates between 14 October and 31 December. Computer and UKVI tests ran 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Writing on Paper 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. See our Chandigarh guide.

Life Skills A1 and B1 (INR 18,000) had three Chandigarh dates between 29 October and 10 December 2026. IDP flags the Sector 17 lab as having limited access for people with disabilities and names Sector 34 as the accessible alternative.

If Chandigarh dates are full, the nearest other IDP labs are in Patiala and Ludhiana, and the booking form also offered sessions in Ambala.

There is no local price: IDP and Pearson each charge one fee across India, so Mohali costs the same as Delhi or Kerala. IELTS figures are from IDP India's fee page and match the prices IDP's booking form showed for Mohali-area sessions on 9 October 2026; PTE figures are from Pearson's price finder. Refund and transfer rules are in our IELTS fee in India and PTE fee in India guides.

IELTS: on IDP India's site choose Register for IELTS, then the test (IELTS on Computer, IELTS Writing on Paper, IELTS for UKVI or Life Skills), the module, and Chandigarh or Chandigarh - Sec 34 as the test city; the dates and session times shown there are the live ones (how to register). You can also register in person at an IDP branch or registration partner. Upload a clear colour scan of your passport when you book and bring the original on test day. Speaking can fall on a different day, up to 7 days before or after the written test.

PTE: on pearsonpte.com choose the test first (Academic, Academic UKVI, Core or Home), then type Mohali or the nearest centre city; only centres with slots for that test appear, and slots open at least 24 hours ahead (Pearson's booking guide). Enter your name exactly as on your passport, middle names in Given names; details can be corrected up to 3 days before the test, and a mismatch on the day means no test and no refund.

Results: IDP says most IELTS on computer results arrive within 2 days, Writing on Paper results after 7 calendar days, and Life Skills results within seven days. Pearson says most PTE Academic results arrive within two business days, occasionally up to five.
