Where can you take IELTS and PTE in Patiala?

IDP's booking form on 9 October 2026 listed IELTS on computer and IELTS for UKVI sessions in Patiala on 42 dates between 12 October and 30 December 2026 (9:00 AM to 12:00 PM), and Writing on Paper on 53 dates (1:00 PM to 4:00 PM).

Check dates in the booking form rather than on IDP's Patiala city page: on 9 October the city page's own calendar showed no dates, while the booking form had sessions from 12 October.

IDP flags the Patiala lab as having limited access for people with disabilities and names Chandigarh - Sec 34 as the accessible alternative (see Chandigarh). Life Skills is not offered in Patiala; the nearest Life Skills city is Chandigarh.

Sangrur appears in IDP's directory but was not offered as a test city in the booking form. Barnala has an IDP lab for IELTS on computer, Writing on Paper and One Skill Retake, but not UKVI.

With one PTE centre in Patiala, slots can be limited. The nearest alternatives are Mohali and Chandigarh (three each), Barnala and Ambala Cantt (one each).

There is no local price: IDP and Pearson each charge one fee across India, so Patiala costs the same as Delhi or Kerala. IELTS figures are from IDP India's fee page and match the prices IDP's booking form showed for Patiala-area sessions on 9 October 2026; PTE figures are from Pearson's price finder. Refund and transfer rules are in our IELTS fee in India and PTE fee in India guides.

IELTS: on IDP India's site choose Register for IELTS, then the test (IELTS on Computer, IELTS Writing on Paper, IELTS for UKVI or Life Skills), the module, and Patiala - Leela Bhawan as the test city; the dates and session times shown there are the live ones (how to register). You can also register in person at an IDP branch or registration partner. Upload a clear colour scan of your passport when you book and bring the original on test day. Speaking can fall on a different day, up to 7 days before or after the written test.

PTE: on pearsonpte.com choose the test first (Academic, Academic UKVI, Core or Home), then type Patiala or the nearest centre city; only centres with slots for that test appear, and slots open at least 24 hours ahead (Pearson's booking guide). Enter your name exactly as on your passport, middle names in Given names; details can be corrected up to 3 days before the test, and a mismatch on the day means no test and no refund.

Results: IDP says most IELTS on computer results arrive within 2 days, Writing on Paper results after 7 calendar days, and Life Skills results within seven days. Pearson says most PTE Academic results arrive within two business days, occasionally up to five.
