Tips

How to answer Reorder Paragraphs

  1. 1

Find the opening box: it introduces the subject and makes sense alone, with no pronoun or linking word pointing back.

  2. 2

Follow the links: this, these, they, such, however, as a result and the second mention of a noun all point to an earlier box.

  3. 3

Look for time order (first, later, by the 1900s) and general-to-specific order (a claim, then an example).

  4. 4

Build pairs you are sure of. Because marks are for adjacent pairs, two certain pairs are worth more than a guessed full order.
